Our Doctrine & Philosophy |
Philosophy of Preaching: |
- The Evangelist was given to the church for the purpose of perfecting and aiding in the maturing of the saints (Eph 4:11-12). The Evangelist comes to a church as a servant of the church and the pastor. His preaching is to be based upon the Word of God (II Tim 4:2) and is not for his own glory, but rather to exalt Christ (Gal 6:14). He is not to preach deceitfully for emotional decisions in order to claim great results (I Thess 2:3-6), nor is he to be cruel and divisive in his preaching. Instead, he is to be gentle but firm (I Thess 2:7-8), and loving but truthful (Eph 4:15) in his preaching of God's Word. His message to the unsaved is that Christ died for the sins of the whole world and rose again to offer all men salvation (I Cor 15:3-4, Rom 10:13). His message to the saved is that they are to walk worthy of the God who saved them (I Thess 2:12), in unity with their fellow brethren (Col 3:13), while boldly proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Rom 1:16-17).

Philosophy of Music: |
- Music is a gift of God to His people which is to be offered back to Him in the form of worship (Ps 104:33; 105:2-3; 150:1-6). Its goal is not for entertainment, but rather for edification (Eph 5:19). It is not to imitate or emulate the world's philosophy or style (Rom 12:1-2), but rather to be done in such a way that is considered to be decent and orderly (I Cor 14:40). Music should be able to teach the listeners Biblically correct doctrine while ministering grace to the hearers (Col 3:16).

Doctrinal Statement: |
- The Bible (both the Old and New Testaments) is God's provision and revelation of His truth to all mankind. The Bible is inspired by God, revealed unto man, preserved for all generations, and inerrant in its wording. The Bible is man's absolute authority and ultimate teacher. Within its pages God declares:
There is only one God, but He exists in three persons (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). God is perfect and holy in all His ways. He is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, eternal, and unchangeable.
All things were created (and continue to be upheld) by a triune God in six literal days. Man was created in the image of God but chose of his own will to rebel against his Creator. Man's sin brought immediate spiritual death, breaking man's relationship with God. man's sin also caused deterioration and impending physical death upon himself. The result of man's sin is eternal death and punishment in a place of fiery torment. It is not possible for any man to be saved through his own good works or religion.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died vicariously for the sins of the whole world (past, present, future), rose again on the third day conquering death, and is eternally seated on the right hand of the Father. Any person who will confess with his mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in his heart that God has raised Him from the dead will be saved. Jesus Christ is the only mediator and intercessor between God and man.
The Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, righteousness, and judgment. When a man is saved, he is immediately and permanently indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit. All Christians are commanded to be filled or controlled by the Spirit every moment of life.
Salvation is a free gift offered unto all men by the grace of God through the blood of Christ and received through faith. It cannot be purchased or earned by any means. At the moment of salvation the new believer is adopted into the family of God and made a joint heir with Christ. The position is eternal, and cannot be lost or taken away.
All Christians should live with the knowledge that they are the visible ambassadors of Jesus Christ to this earth. Believers should live in such a manner as to be salt and light in this sin plagued and darkened world. Christians are not to lust after the pleasures of the world, but rather to be conformed to the image of God.
The church is the body of Christ and each believer is a member thereof. It is also the responsibility of every Christian to become a member of a local Church in his area in which he is to aid in reaching his community and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
